Kids Martial Arts Classes in Juneau, AK

4 of the 7 martial arts schools we list in Juneau have kids classes.

Map search shows a pin for every "martial arts" result but has no way to separate schools that run structured, age-graded kids programs from adult-focused dojos that just tolerate the occasional teenager. Every school listed here has kids classes confirmed from its own posted schedule or website, not guessed from a generic "family friendly" tag.

Ask about the age brackets before enrolling. Most schools split kids into groups like 4-6, 7-9, and 10-13 with separate curricula and class pace, so a bracket matched to your child's age and attention span matters more than the style itself.

Good to know

What age can kids start martial arts classes?

Many schools accept kids as young as 4 or 5 in a "little dragons" or similar intro program, though most structured belt curricula start around age 6-7. The right age depends more on whether the child can follow instructions in a group setting than on any strict cutoff.

How much do kids martial arts classes cost?

Monthly tuition for kids classes commonly runs $80-150, sometimes less at community or rec-center programs and more at schools with active competition teams. Most schools also charge a one-time registration fee plus periodic costs for belt testing or uniforms.
